Harry Potter Reference That You Might Have Missed In "Fantastic Beast"

SPOILER ALERT

THE FOLLOWING CONTENT HAS SPOILER INFORMATION FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ARE PLANING TO WATCH FANTASTIC BEAST AND WHERE TO FIND THEM

Poster of Fantastic Beast And Where To Find Them

1. Leta Lestrange. Leta briefly appears in a photo in Newt’s suitcase hideout. He describes her as an old friend that he hasn’t seen in a while because “people change.” Given that Zoë Kravitz has been cast to play her in at least one sequel, it seems likely you’ll learn more about that story in a future movie, but for now, you’ll just have to speculate about how she’s related to Bellatrix.

2. Newt’s bowtruckle pal. One of Newt’s favorite fantastic beasts is a bowtruckle, who clings to his jacket even when he’s supposed to be hanging out with the rest of the bowtruckles. They don’t appear in the Harry Pottermovies, but in the book version of Order of the Phoenix, Professor Grubbly-Plank teaches the fifth years about them during Care of Magical Creatures.

3. Albus Dumbledore. He comes up in Fantastic Beasts as having been one of Newt’s professors at Hogwarts. He doesn’t appear on screen but it’s clear he already has a reputation for being kind of wacky.

4. Newt’s Hufflepuff scarf. When Mr. Scamander sets his suitcase to “Muggle-Worthy,” you can see the black and yellow scarf neatly tucked in with his belongings. He also wears it at the end of the movie. Hufflepuff pride!

5. The Deathly Hallows symbol. Now that you know Percival Graves was Grindelwald the whole time, it should come as no surprise that the Deathly Hallows are involved. When Percival/Grindelwald is trying to convince Credence to help him out, he gives him a necklace with a charm of the triangular symbol. Stay away, Credence! That symbol means nothing good.

6. The niffler. As you know if you have seen it, Newt’s mischievous niffler is the true star of Fantastic Beasts. Like bowtruckles, nifflers never appeared in the Harry Potter movies, but they were in the book versions of Goblet of Fireand Order of the Phoenix. In GoF, Hagrid taught his Care of Magical Creatures students about them using leprechaun gold, and in OotP, Lee Jordan set them loose in Umbridge’s office.

7. The murtlap. When Jacob Kowalski accidentally takes Newt’s suitcase back to his apartment, a murtlap escapes and attacks him, leaving him unconscious. This isn’t the first time you’ve heard of a murtlap though — in Order of the Phoenix, Hermione uses murtlap essence to treat the cuts on Harry’s hand after his detention with Umbridge.

8. The erumpent. One of the beasts living in Newt’s suitcase is an erumpent, a large, horned creature that looks a little bit like a rhinoceros. When it escapes, it goes on a rampage through Central Park that culminates in Newt trying to lure it back into the case with a mating dance. But erumpents were first mentioned in Deathly Hallows, when Harry, Ron, and Hermione went to Xenophilius Lovegood’s house. Xenophilius had an erumpent horn in his house but thought it belonged to a crumple-horned snorkack. Hermione advised him to dispose of it because erumpent horns contain a dangerous, highly explosive fluid. Xenophilius didn’t listen though and the horn exploded, causing his house to blow up.

9. Squibs. You may remember from Harry Potter that Squibs are people born without magical powers whose parents are wizards — notable Squibs include Mrs. Figg and Argus Filch. In Fantastic Beasts, Percival believes that Credence is a Squib but eventually he’s proven to be an Obscurial instead. An Obscurial is a young wizard who does have magic but suppresses it. Now remember Dumbledore’s sister? Before she died, some Muggle children saw her doing magic and attacked her. She was never able to do magic again and this is how Aberforth described it: “She wouldn't use magic but she couldn't get rid of it; it turned inward and drove her mad, it exploded out of her when she couldn't control it, and at times she was strange and dangerous.” Is it possible that Ariana was actually an Obscurial?

10. Quidditch. There’s no Quidditch in Fantastic Beasts because Newt’s too busy catching rogue creatures but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still think about every wizard’s favorite sport. At one point, someone asks him if he’s a seeker, and he replies, “I’m more of a chaser, really.” Well played, sir

11. Gellert Grindelwald. Just kidding, you didn’t miss this one. But to refresh your memory: Grindelwald was a friend and colleague of Albus Dumbledore’s. Together they tried to find the Deathly Hallows, but Grindelwald became consumed by a desire for power. After Dumbledore’s sister Ariana was accidentally killed in a duel between the two of them, Grindelwald fled England and became a Dark wizard à la Voldemort. Along the way, he found the Elder Wand but lost it to Dumbledore when he defeated Grindelwald in another duel.

'Fantastic Beasts' Theory: Did Newt Scamander Give Hagrid Aragog?

With Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them now in theaters, I decided to write about a theory on #NewtScamander, the main protagonist of the film. This theory is going to suggest that Newt is the one who gave Aragog to Hagrid.

Here We Go So, first off, what do we know about Newt? Well, here is some information from the trailers.

We know that Newt got kicked out of Hogwarts for endangering lives with a beast, likely kept in a suitcase. Dumbledore fought against his expulsion and Newt later enters New York with his case of magical creatures. But some escape. He authored a textbook used by Harry Potter named Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and he was in Hogwarts during Harry's third year.

Although he would have been 96 by then, there has to be some purpose for him being there.

YouTuber Seamus Gorman came up with this theory and bought up some notable parallels between Newt and Hagrid. They were both obsessed with magical creatures, expelled from Hogwarts because of a beast, and their expulsions were argued against by Dumbledore.

Hagrid Aragog
According to the Harry  Potter Wiki, Newt's book (Fantastic Beasts) was a required textbook for Hogwarts students since it was released in 1927. Hagrid was born in 1928, so Hagrid had to have read Newt's book, and he may have even gotten his interest in fantastic beasts from reading this book.Newt does visit the school, as you saw above, so he could easily have seen Hagrid, and been interested in the Care of Magical Creatures. Hagrid becomes professor of Care of Magic Creatures in Harry's third year, which is when Newt visits.

Hagrid brings creatures such as hippogriffs, unicorns, nifflers, and flobberworms. He needed to somehow get these animals, and Newt may have supplied them for him. We know nifflers appear in #FantasticBeasts.
How does Aragog tie into this? Well, how did Aragog find Hagrid? Aragog explains this, saying that he came to Hagrid in the pocket of a traveler. This traveler should probably be very interested in magical beasts if he's got Acromantula eggs in his pockets and he's giving them to young children.
Giving an Acromantula to a student is pretty negligent. It almost sounds like this traveler had at least some experience in unintentionally endangering the lives of students — WAIT A MINUTE.

Wow

This is not confirmed, but there will be five Fantastic Beasts films, with the last one taking place in 1945, and as Aragog was born in 1942, maybe we'll see this happen — it's definitely plausible!

But if you are going for this movie then I highly recommend to experience J.K Rowling world of magic in IMAX

Fantastic Beast And Where To Find Them

FANTASTIC BEAST DEFINITELT GRABBED THE ATTAINTION

If you like harry potter series and missing the magical world of harry potter you should definitely go and watch J.K Rowling's Fantastic Beast And Where To Find Them.

If you missing the fun and magical world of harry potter, then relive the era of the magical world. Now the fantastic beast is the prequel of harry potter. where the guy name Newl Scamander (Eddie Redmayne)  comes to New York with a briefcase full with magical creatures and due to misplacing of their Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler) briefcases some of the creates gets escape. I will not explain further to explode the movie experience when you go and watch it.

Just wanted to tell you guys that you must know who is Gellert Grindelwald  if you are going to watch this movie. well for those who don't know who is Gellert Grindelwald then well if I have to tell you in short then Grindelwald was an rival of Professor Albus Dumbledore. In harry potter series Gellert Grindelwald was played by Jamie Campbell Bower and Michael Byrne in Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 1 and part 2.

Coming back to Fantastic Beast Eddie Redmayne has done and remarkable work in the movie in fact everyone just nailed with their characters

The customary muggle — or “no-maj (for no-magic)” as they are called in America — Jacob (Fogler), too doesn’t overdo his presence as a stand-in for us in the audience.
At the other end is the extremely talented Morton playing Mary Lou, who leads a group of ‘New Salemers’ tracking down witches and wizards.
Yates shoots the destruction wrought by the dark beings called Obscurus in stunning, swift strokes. And every time the customary fireworks between good and evil threaten to look routine, the good acting consistently lifts the film.

If you are going to watch this amazing experience I would highly recommend to experience the world of magic in IMAX because you will relive it and you'll be inside the movie when watching it in IMAX
